What People Are Saying

Holly,

Thank you again for staging such a cool event. It had heart and soul. I loved it. You set the standard for all of those who follow. Hope to work with you again soon. Meanwhile, lots of love.

– Marty Stuart

"Holly inspires you to try the impossible. As a project director, she is the consummate coach and guide and her confidence is contagious. I most appreciate her honesty and personal touch. Working with her never feels like work. It feels like a friendship with someone who possesses immense skill and spirit to manifest meaningful experiences. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside her for years as she directed the Mississippi Book Festival. I look forward to our work crossing paths again."

Holly and I serendipitously began working together on community events like the Red Beans & Rice Festival and Jubilee!JAM, and have continued that partnership for over twenty years on various cultural celebrations like The Governor’s Arts Awards and The Mississippi Book Festival. Holly is a determined and results-centric leader; a thoughtful collaborator with a philanthropist heart.

I have been a professional caterer in central Mississippi for over 25 years. Throughout my career I have worked with Holly on several projects (more than I can count). Reliable, creative, and determined – those are the words that come to mind when thinking about the hard work that Holly does for her clients and their events! She excels at keeping everyone on track and mitigating problems before they happen.  Not only that – but she does all of those things and more with poise and grace. In short – she is a joy to work with!

Holly Lange has worked with the Department of Archives and History during some of the most challenging and exciting times in our history. In 2017, she organized the opening of the Two Mississippi Museums, a project with challenges including an unexpected snowstorm and a visit from the President of the United States. And in 2020, she coordinated the ceremony lowering the old state flag, the work of the flag commission, and the raising of the new state flag. And we are still friends! She is hardworking, capable, energetic, resourceful, connected, and a lot of fun. Long live Holly Lange!

Holly Lange is a consummate professional. She’s also smart, warm, generous, funny, and just GETS IT. Holly is both enjoyable to work with and tough enough to get the job done. She is sharp, committed, and gives it her all. If you need someone who can manage multiple priorities at the same time, who understands building and maintaining relationships, and can navigate tricky situations with diplomacy, then you won’t be sorry that you selected Holly to work with you.

In thinking of Holly, “consummate host" and "force of nature” quickly come to mind, along with “fun times” and “good friend." Ever inspired by her leadership, energy and results in drawing support and attendance for cultural and social events, we have been honored to work with her for more than two decades and can’t wait to see her next adventure unfold!
